Ted Rall’s progressive delusion

Fresh off of a ape-style cartoon of President Obama that was even too much for the DailyKos, progressive cartoonist Ted Rall decided to take the late Nelson Mandela to task for betraying the revolution that Ted masterminded in his basement. His explanation is classic progressive bullshit – apparently Mandela left socialism “on the table"  – an all too familiar phrase for anyone who has followed the progressive whinefest about President Obama.  But this is the paragraph that really got to me:

The lionization of Mandela follows a familiar pattern. Radicals and revolutionaries who betray their former militancy to become accommodationist scoundrels win Nobel Peace Prizes, high office and nice tweets after their die. That’s why former “terrorists” like Mandela, Gerry Adams, Gandhi and Yassir Arafat who stop fighting for their causes and accept establishment sinecures get lionized. Those who hold firm and keep fighting for the people, like Malcolm X, are scorned — compared to the relatively safe/peaceful MLK. The media loves the sellouts, hates the heroes.

Who is Ted Rall that he could call MLK or Nelson Mandela a  "sellout”?  Comrade Ted, whose bravest feat is exhibiting his lack of drawing ability to the pout-o-sphere, dares to call people of immeasurable courage “accomodationist scoundrels”. Fuck off Ted, you little worm. You don’t know enough to even be wrong.
