What passes for thinking on the right (and at NYPD)

There is a sad web site for current and former New York City cops called “Thee Rant”, where you can learn quickly why NYC has such a huge yearly bill for lawsuits against the police from the angry, resentful, entitled, and most of all stupid material posted. Recently some member of this site reposted an article from the ironically named “American Thinker” website called “Questions for Democrats” – 750 thumbs up followed. There are 17 questions of which two are particularly impressive because they show how little interest these people have in truth.

13. When gas hits the Obama high-water mark of six bucks a gallon (or more), is there an EBT card for that? Maybe a check from Soros?

Of course, gas prices under President Obama peaked at $3.50 and dropped rapidly. Soros can hold those checks. Kind of impressive how even simple, easily checked, lies like this are good enough to sucker New York’s finest. One imagines how well all this brainpower works in crime fighting.

The other great question is

4. Am I entitled to see Biden’s tax returns to learn how his income jumped dramatically in one year? (I mean, we all know the how and the why. Just looking for the proof.)

And, as anyone who can google knows, Biden has released all his taxes (here’s an article on it. )

The rest is not any better but these two stand out because the material is so obviously false. Hey, when you are angry and resentful, true and false don’t matter. NYC paid $237 million in tort claims against NYPD in 2019 – about the same every year. That’s enough for a $6500 bonus for every uniformed officer.
